With the success of Snowbasin’s first year hosting the Dew Tour we have added better snowmaking and additional mountain terrain features. Combined with our superior dining and top rated customer service, snow enthusiasts are sure to appreciate the experience that Snowbasin has to offer. With all this being said, Snowbasin is still one of Utah’s best-kept secrets that only gets better year after year!
New 22- Foot Pipe and Terrain Parks
Snowbasin has once again stepped up its Park and Pipe features for the new season by introducing an Olympic-sized 22-foot Superpipe, which will not only meet today’s trick standards for the Dew Tour but will also set Snowbasin apart as the leader in terrain park features for all resorts to rival. Snowbasin is also expanding the amount of Terrain Parks to four, ranging from a new beginners area on Upper Snowshoe to the Dew Tour Park on Showboat. Snowbasin has added 21 new rails this season giving the entire mountain over 60 rail features placed throughout each Terrain Park. You can view all these new mountain features live on national television when the Winter Dew Tour is presented on NBC February 10-13, 2011. The Dew Tour terrain park will remain open the rest of the season, giving guests the chance to show off their skills on a world-class level!

More About Snowbasin
Snowmaking Expansion
Snowbasin’s already extensive Snowmaking has increased, adding another water pump and two more “fan” snow guns, giving Snowbasin a total of six snowmaking machines on the lower mountain. The increased snowmaking capabilities allow Snowbasin to build a deeper snow pack, open additional trails, and create terrain park features at a faster speed hence giving guests the ultimate skiing/snowboarding experience earlier in the winter season. This will be showcased with our 22-foot Superpipe and Terrain Park during the Dew Tour Toyota Championships in February.
John Paul Lodge
During the winter season, John Paul Lodge offers dining on both floors, including the wrap-around patio on the main level that has become ‘the place to be’. The main level dining area showcases breathtaking views and surrounds an open, four-sided fireplace. Enjoy hearty Italian specialties at John Paul Lodge, while seated at oak and Italian marble tables with cozy, upholstered chairs. Our customary variety of pastries, beverages and beer is also on hand. Novice and non-skiers are welcome to experience John Paul Lodge! Foot passenger tickets are available to ride up and ride down the John Paul Express Quad. Stop by for lunch and rest your feet while enjoying delicious food, large tables and a friendly wait staff.
